Skerryvore are a West Coast Ceilidh band based in Glasgow. Initially formed in August 2003 under the name of Brois they have continually been touring Scotland and England and are now organising an international tour which will include Europe, Australia and Canada

Daniel Gillespie

Daniel has recently completed a BA in Sport in the community at the University of Strathclyde.  At 23 years of age he has played accordion for over 10 years under the tutelage of Tiree's resident accordion teacher, Gordon Connell.  As a member of the band he takes on the role as the lead accordionist.

Martin Gillespie

Martin is currently going into his second year of a degree in Scottish music at the Royal Academy Of Music and Drama in Glasgow.  Martin's first instrument is actually accordion, although for the purposes of Skerryvore he generally plays small pipes and bagpipes.

Fraser West

Fraser is a full time musician who is comfortable playing within various different styles of music.  As well as playing drums with Skerryvore, he is currently very busy touring and playing with the up and coming rock band Lexxi.

Alec Dalglish

Alec is currently studying for a BA in applied music at the University of Strathclyde.  Until around two years ago, Alec was a stranger to the world of traditional Scottish music and generally played in more contemporary styles such as rock, blues and jazz.  The influence of these various styles gives his guitar playing a more contemporary feel.
